Felipe was CEO of Fondo de Fondos from 2009 to 2022, where he led investments in 38 Private Equity / Venture Capital Funds that have promoted more than 160 SMEs and SPVs in Latin America with special focus in Mexico. During his final years at Fondo de Fondos, Felipe was directly involved in the promotion of a Mexican SME Debt Market through the MEX-SDD Initiative. Prior to Fondo de Fondos, he was head of Investment Banking Advisory Mexico in HSBC Bank, and CEO of HSBC Casa de Bolsa (a securities firm). Previously, he served as Director of Project Finance in Fonlyser, Banca Serfin (today Santander Bank). At this bank he also served as Executive Director for Public Sector Banking. Previously, he worked in the government sector, as General Director of Economic Analysis at the Presidencia de la República (the office of the President). Before that, he was CEO of CESTUR, a think tank entity for the Ministry of Tourism. He also was Deputy Director at the National Institute of Geography and Statistics (INEGI), an entity of the Ministry of Budget and Planning, where he developed the methodology to measure GDP on quarterly basis.
